Are you scanning photos? Or maybe you’re taking photos of photos, which is also a totally valid way to digitize photos. Rather than doing them one at a time, it’s faster to scan three or four at once. The problem is all the work that it takes to separate them, straighten the images, and crop them nice and tight. You can automate this. With the scan open, choose File>Automate>Crop and Straighten Photos. Yup, it works really well.
