I used to share a tip about trying out blend modes. You choose the Move tool (V) and press the plus or minus key while holding down Shift to cycle through the modes. In CC 2019, you don’t need to do that anymore. All you need to do is hover over a blend mode in the drop-down menu in the Layers panel and you get a live preview. A few people had issues with this at its release, so if you’re one of those people, go to Photoshop CC (PC: Edit) Preferences>Performance, click on Legacy Compositing, and it’s fixed. But what if you don’t have CC 2019? The first part of this tip is for you.
