When you activate the Object Selection tool (W), the Object Finder is turned on by default in the Options Bar. The Object Finder automatically detects all the objects in your image. It has undergone several changes since it was introduced about a year ago, including a new algorithm, which now works really well. When you move your cursor around your image, Object Finder highlights and outlines objects that can be selected. Simply click on a highlighted subject and the selection will be created.
