The Spacebar is a very useful modifier key. When you’re zoomed into a document, hold down the Spacebar to temporarily change to the Hand tool, and click-and-drag to pan across the image. When you’re creating a selection, Shift will constrain the selection to either a perfect square or circle, and if you hold down the Spacebar as you’re drawing your selection, you can move it around in the document.
