One of the fastest ways to make selections in Photoshop is the Select Subject feature. (I wish I’d had that years ago.) When you choose the Object Selection or Quick Selection tools (W) in the Toolbar, you’ll see Select Subject up in the Options Bar. Clicking this button will make an AI-powered selection around the main subject of the image.

There’s a setting that will make this selection even better. Click the down-pointing arrow next to Select Subject and you’ll see an option called Cloud. When you choose Cloud, now when you click the Select Subject button, Photoshop sends the layer to the Adobe server farm and leverages the super computer performance to make an even better selection. This takes longer than the Device setting and you’ll need an active Internet connection, but it’s well worth it for the better results.
