Here’s an interesting fact that you probably didn’t know; but you’ll see it everywhere now that I’m bringing it to your attention. Look at a sign on a freeway or any street. You’ll notice the tracking (space between letters) is really wide. This makes the sign easier to read at a distance. So, if you’re making really small text, the words will be easier to read if you increase the tracking. To increase the tracking, click on the text layer in the Layers panel to make it active and, in the Properties Panel (Window>Properties), increase the number that appears in the tracking field (it’s the one that says VA). You don’t even need to highlight the text or have the Type tool active.
