Meet Gary Hunter—a nature photographer based out of California.

1.) What can you tell us about this photo?

“A Forest Glen” is the title, I have trouble with titles so I make them pretty obvious.  This was taken in the Hoe Rain forest in Washington State. This area caught my eye because I like the quiet and mystery you can sometimes find in the forest and this scene fit perfectly.

2.) What gear/software did you use to create this image?

I used a Canon 5D MkIII and the Canon EF 16-35 F4L.  I used LR (Lightroom), Photoshop and NIK for this image.

3.) What do you like to photograph?

I photograph mostly landscape and wildlife, but I like to look for abstracts and really small thinks in landscapes that a lot of people just don’t see.

4.) What made you decide to become a member?

I signed up for the Photoshop magazine which I really liked and wish it was back, but I understand the economics of printing such a nice magazine. I also enjoy the many teaching videos.
