When you’re making a selection (with one of the Lasso tools), and you reach the edge of your document window, you don’t have to release and start over—just press-and-hold the Spacebar, and your Lasso tool temporarily switches to the Hand tool, so you can move over enough to complete your selection, then release the Spacebar and it switches you back to the Lasso tool, and (here’s what’s so cool) your selection-in-process has been frozen in place, so now you can pick right up where you were.
