Where people interact with nature

Tell us about a time you struggled or failed with your photography, and how you overcame it?

I’ve struggled with staying motivated and not taking the same type of photos over and over again. This is where KelbyOne and other training resources have really helped. Learning new techniques and approaches have kept me interested in refining and trying new things in my photography.

What sparked your love of photography?

I think the digital technology and the ability to capture what I see in my minds’ eye have really made photography enjoyable for me. I worked for many years in the film processing and printing industry and the techniques used then made it impossible to accomplish what we can do now easily with digital technology. And, photography has become one of my main motivators for travel.

What’s your favorite class on KelbyOne and why?

Currently “Milky Way Landscape Photography Tracking and Stacking” by Erik Kuna. I’ve been disappointed in the results I’ve been getting with astrophotography and this class will help me solve my issues. Obviously, there are many great courses for sure.

Thanks to Michael for taking us behind-the-scenes of this spectacular image!
