Describe your creative style in 3 words

Creative, Adaptable, and Versatile.

Tell us about a time you struggled or failed with your photography, and how you overcame it?

In my younger years when I was working as a pro, I was getting wedding bookings up to 2 1/2 years in advance. I struggled to balance this with other interests at the time, so gave it away. I regret this, as I had a good thing going. It’s been a learning curve getting back into things with digital, Photoshop and Lightroom, etc. I guess now I’m back with a vengeance, I spend massive amounts of my spare time studying the art, and am now gathering pics for a website I will soon launch, and looking forward to doing some portraits and animal photography on the side of my normal living.

What sparked your love of photography?

We always had a camera around the house growing up, and one of my first jobs was in a photo lab, they ended up setting me up in my first studio and it just grew from there.

What’s your favorite class on KelbyOne and why?

OMG—they are so many amazing ones so it’s really hard to choose one but, Scott Kelby’s travel series is awesome, Matt K has amazing all-round knowledge and who can’t help love Kaylee Greer and really admire Ramtin Kazemi’s courses, I wish we had the scenery and places he goes to more local to us.
