Happy Monday! Meet Cheryl Moore of Smiles N Moore Photography: our featured member of the week.

1.)  Can you tell us a little bit about your photo?

I live in Canon City, Colorado, a small town about two hours south of Denver.  I own a portrait photography studio, Smiles-n-Moore Photography, where we capture memories of high school seniors and families. We live on the edge of the Rocky Mountains, and what I love most is venturing out on a drive with my husband, Jim, during our spare time and shooting wildlife.  Shooting in the good way, where everything lives J. I shot this image, “Prairie Prongs” just before the sun set, in Westcliffe, Colorado located about an hour from our home.

2.)  What gear/software did you use to create this image?

I used a Canon 7d to capture this image utilizing a Canon 600mm lens.  Settings:  ISO 125, F4, 1/320, 600mm, Gitzo tripod with a gimbal head. I processed the raw file in Adobe Lightroom.

3.)  What do you like to photograph?

I enjoy several areas of photography including wildlife, portraits, muscle cars, landscapes, birds, architecture, HDR.  You name it I’ve tried it. But my true passion is shooting wildlife. Whether it’s traveling to Alaska or just a local Colorado drive, my husband and I share the same enjoyment, finding as many different species of wildlife we can and capturing their every move.

4.) How long have you been a KelbyOne member and what made you decide to become a member?

I have been a KelbyOne member for about ten years. I enjoy KelbyOne because of the variety of training available in many different topic areas.  Of course I like Scott Kelby’s courses but I am also fond of Moose Peterson and Rick Salmon’s courses.
