We’d like you to meet Arran Anderson. Arran got his first DSLR in 2010 and has been photographing ever since. The image you see here is called Old Town Portugal.
1.) What can you tell us about this photo?
This was taken whilst on holiday in Albufeira, Portugal. We were walking through the old town’s narrow roads on the way back to our hotel when something caught my eye that made me stop and look down a hill. There I saw these three windows above a shop, I could see there was a photo in there so I took the shot. It was only when I got home and reviewed the images that I saw what made me stop.
2.) What gear/software did you use to create this image?
I used a Canon 100d (Rebel SL1) with the 18-55mm kit lens and I used Lightroom and Photoshop to edit
ISO 100
55mm
f/8
1/250
3.) What do you like to photograph?
I like to shoot travel when I can and recently have gotten into portraiture thanks to Scott’s Just One Flash class.
4.) What made you decide to become a member?
I have been a member for 1 year and have just renewed for a second year.
I found KelbyOne whilst I was searching for Photoshop tutorials on YouTube and came across a video that was reviewing one of Scott’s seminars saying how good his teaching method is and within watching about 5 minutes I found myself on Kelbyone.com signing up for the free trial and not long after signing up for the year.
Go take a look at more of Arran’s work—you can find it on his website, his Facebook page, and on Instagram!
