Creative staffing agency Aquent’s “Design for Good” grants program (to benefit nonprofits) will offer five $5,000 grants to nonprofit organizations to hire graphic designers who are passionate about the nonprofits’ work and propose design projects.

The goal of the grant program is to “showcase nonprofits and graphic designers and the great things they can do together – to make a real difference in the world.” says John Chuang, Aquent’s co-founder and CEO.

According to Aquent: “The grants will be awarded to winning nonprofit organizations based on video submissions of proposed projects by graphic designers who want to help those nonprofits. Each video submission should include details about the nonprofit, and details of the applicant’s vision for the design project. Any designer from throughout the world can apply for a grant on behalf of any officially registered nonprofit throughout the world.”

All video submissions must be in English.

The deadline for submissions of videos is Jan. 20, 2017.

A panel of  judges from the design and creative industries will evaluate submissions based on their potential impact, feasibility and creativity. The grant recipients will be announced in late February 2017.
