ProGrade Digital was launched at the beginning of 2018 with the mission of providing high-quality, high-performance, and reliable products. Having used their products for a couple of months now, I can say I’m very impressed. You can easily see that ProGrade Digital is focusing on quality, from packaging to performance.
The ProGrade Digital SD Dual-Slot USB 3.1 Gen 2 Workflow Reader features speeds of up to 1.25 GB/second when reading one card, or 675 MB/second when two cards are being read simultaneously. That’s crazy fast! In fact, this latest USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface is up to two times faster than USB 3.0.
The reader has LED indicators for data transfer activity and they let you know when the transfer is complete. It has a magnetized bottom that pairs with an included mounting plate that can easily connect to a laptop. This comes in handy when transferring files on the go. You could also attach the metal plate to the back of a computer screen to mount the reader.
The Workflow Reader can withstand storage temperatures from –85°F to 302°F, and normal operating temperatures range from 32°F to 158°F. It comes with two 18″ cables: a USB 3.1 Type A to Type C, and a USB 3.1 Type C to Type C. The card reader is compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 or later and Windows 10. The unit measures 2.79×2.79×0.71″, and it also comes with a two-year warranty. ■
