Happy Juneteenth! ❤️💚🖤 Lots of new faces here so we wanted to take a minute to share a little about us. We’re a hubby/wife duo based in the ATL and we celebrate black excellence, black beauty and black culture every.day. It’s not a trend or day, its an everyday celebration. Why? Because for too long these voices, our culture, and beauty have not been elevated, so its up to us to tell our own stories the way we want. We hope that by showcasing these kids in all of their beauty and glory they will be inspired to soar even higher than those who came before them. ❤️ #creativesoulphoto #juneteenth #afroart #atlantaphotographers #teamnatural_ #naturalhair #naturalhairkids Models: @milanitrichelle08 @faroukjames @kemerykreates @dorienmaxwell @avamartin804 @zaire.saa

On Juneteenth or June 19th, 1865—two years after the emancipation proclamation—the news reached the enslaved people in Galveston, Texas that they were finally free. You can read more about the history of this celebration here.

We love the accessories, textures, patterns, and overall styling that shines through in this photo set—well done!
