Next Saturday, August 13th, 2022, photographers and enthusiasts worldwide will meet at designated locations near their towns for a photo expedition! You’ll have the chance to photograph, socialize, make friends, and win prizes while being part of a great cause during Scott Kelby’s annual Worldwide Photo Walk.

What is a Photowalk?

Photowalks are destinations in cities worldwide where photographers and enthusiasts like yourself get together to explore their cities and create incredible images. Each photo walk usually consists of 50 walkers or less; in most cases, each city only has one walk. Some major cities might have more than one walk to choose from. You can use whatever gear you’re most comfortable photographing with too—including smartphones, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, compacts, and more.

Is there an age limit?

Absolutely not! So bring the whole family! Whether you’re 5, 50, or 100 years old, this event is for you.

How much does a Photowalk cost?

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk is 100% FREE. You don’t have to spend a dime to register for a photo walk. All you have to do is show up and take photos.

What’s the purpose of the Worldwide Photowalk?

To have fun, practice your photography skills, meet other members of your community, and you can even show off your work by participating in the contests. Plus, you’re walking for a good cause! 100% of the money raised from t-shirt sales and donations goes to The Springs of Hope in Kenya.

What are the different contests?

  1. The Walker Photo Contest: All walkers can submit one photo taken during their walk.
  2. Video Contest: All walkers can submit a short video (5 minutes or less) taken during their walk.
  3. People’s Choice: All participants will have the ability to like/vote for their favorite images. The image with the most likes/votes will be crowned the People’s Choice winner.

Okay, so now that you know what’s at stake and how much fun the whole family can have for free, it’s time to register! Find a walk near you.
