Have you noticed lately that the Brush tool (B) seems lagging or just kind of weird in Photoshop? That’s because of a new feature that’s aimed at people who draw or paint in Photoshop. It’s like a camera stabilizer for your brush, and Adobe calls it Smoothing. What it does is remove all the micro jitters and makes your lines and curves smoother. The only thing is that if you’re dodging and burning or retouching photos, this feature isn’t helping, it’s hindering. Just turn the Smoothing amount to 0% in the Options Bar, and you’ll be good to go.
