Adobe dropped a new Lightroom update last week, and this one brings a nice mix of speed, AI improvements, and a few creative extras.

Here are a few highlights to know…

Lightroom Classic users are getting a noticeable performance boost (especially on Windows), along with the ability to run AI Denoise in the background so you’re not stuck waiting. That’s a big workflow improvement.

There’s also new support for Sony A7 V compressed RAW files, plus smarter Assisted Culling that handles shallow depth of field shots more accurately.

On the creative side, Adobe added Film-Inspired Premium Presets, and there’s a new Firefly Mood Boards feature that lets you plan and organize shoot ideas right inside Lightroom.

For Lightroom Desktop, you’ll find natural language search (type what you’re looking for and it finds it), support for large PSB files, more control over your “Edit in Photoshop” settings, and a long-requested zoom-while-cropping feature.

Overall, a solid update with a little something for everyone. Get more details from Adobe here.
