1.) Can you tell us a little bit about your photo?

This is probably my most favorite photo I’ve taken, the title of this photo is “Sisters” The photo was taken in my home studio in Guangzhou (China), we are a Polish family living for over a decade in China. They are real Maine Coon sisters and one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. I’m also the proud owner of these cats.

2.) What gear/software did you use to create this image?

In my work I use mainly Nikon D800 and unexpectedly wide angle lens 16-35mm 1.4G ED. I have collected a few more good lenses, but surprisingly I have the best effects with a wide angle.

3.) What do you like to photograph?

My adventure with photography first began with cats and arose from the need. A few years ago, my wife decided to start breeding Maine Coon cats and I was faced with the challenge of presenting our cats to the world. I started collecting necessary equipment, learning the basics of photography and I took my first photos. During this process, I found great pleasure in taking pictures. Since then, I have specialized in taking photos of cats and 99% of my photos are devoted to them. It was also a time when I started to be interested in photography in general and discovered KelbyOne.

4.) Were you inspired by a KelbyOne class or instructor to create this image? If so, which class or instructor inspired you?

Joel Grimes had a great influence on my style. I love his dramatic composites and lighting. Since I became a member of Kelby One, my skills have improved a lot, I watch all courses regarding lighting, photo processing and business.

5.) What’s your favorite class on KelbyOne and why?

One of my favorite courses in recent times is “Build a Profitable Photography Business and Live Your Dream” by Tim Wallace. In my career I came to a point when my business skills start to inhibit the ability of my development, that’s why this course has a big impact on me.

I’m also a big fan of photo editing courses, in my work, I use only Photoshop. 90% of my retouching takes place in Camera Raw rest in Photoshop, that’s why I’m watching all Photoshop and Camera Raw courses.
